About the project:

Ukraine’s Open-air Thanksgiving Day Festival is largest Christian outreach event in Europe which exists to share the message of Jesus and unite people in thanksgiving to God. The outdoor format of the project enables to engage people in various sports and recreational activities throughout the day and start a culture of gratitude in the hearts of Ukrainians.

How did it get started:

On September 17, 2017 thanks to the remarkable cooperation of the Evangelical churches we held the First Open-air Thanksgiving Day that was attended by nearly half a million people in the downtown of Kyiv. This unifying project was supported by the President of Ukraine and had a tremendous success. Millions of people could watch the Festival on TV that was broadcasted in 24 countries.

In 2018, the Second National Thanksgiving Day Fest gathered hundreds of thousands of people in the central square who came to express their gratitude to God for the harvest, family, love, health and their country. The regions and cities of Ukraine have adopted this tradition and started their own Thanksgiving Day festivals to bring people to faith in Christ.

Why Ukraine?

Ukraine became independent in 1991 following the breakup of the Soviet Union and it is communist and atheist ideology. Thanks to the outreach events Ukraine nowadays is one of the leading centers for evangelism in Europe. Right now is the unique time to share the Gospel and put the Biblical pillars in the foundation of our young country. The soil is right as never before. The fields are white for Harvest!
